The perfect mix between a restaurant and a beach club.

During my visit to Punta de Mita, I couldn't miss the opportunity to experience La Rustica Mita—a place that perfectly combines gastronomy, atmosphere, and location. Situated right in front of the iconic El Anclote surf spot, this restaurant and beach club offers a relaxed ambiance with spectacular ocean views and a culinary concept centered around wood-fired cooking.

The menu is a celebration of fresh ingredients and well-balanced flavors. I started my experience with the Rockefeller Oysters, a half-dozen oysters prepared in the classic style, with a gratin topping that enhanced their flavor.

Next, I tried the Burrata Pizza, featuring a garlic and cheese base, topped with confit tomatoes in olive oil and rosemary. Each bite delivered a perfect balance between the crispness of the dough and the creaminess of the burrata.

For the main course, I chose the Seafood Casserole, a combination of fresh seafood with rice in cassè sauce and mulata sauce, rich in depth and with a hint of spice. I also tried the Grilled Octopus Zarandeado, where the tender grilled tentacles, served with adobo-seasoned potatoes and aioli, achieved a perfect balance of texture and smoky flavor.

The cocktails elevated the experience even further. I started with a Don Julio 1942 Margarita, sophisticated and perfectly balanced, followed by the Margarita Chilanga—a vibrant mix of Cascahuin Reposado, Ancho Reyes Rojo, roasted pineapple juice, orange, lime, and agave honey, bringing a unique spicy and citrusy twist.
